The Pennsylvania thirty (30) day notice to quit, in regards to Section 250.501, may be used by a landlord (or tenant) to end a month-to-month or “at-will” lease agreement. The notice provides the receiving party with 30 days notice of the impending lease termination (the minimum amount of notice as required by Pennsylvania State law). If the notice is being served to the tenant, the tenant must vacate the property by the end of the 30th day of the notice period. If the tenant does not move out of the unit by the end of the notice period, the landlord can sue them for possession of the property.

How to Write
Step 1 – At the top of the form put the current date in DD/MM/YYYY format. Enter the full street address of the rental property in the second input field (“Address of Premises”).
Step 2 – In the “To” input field, enter the name of the tenant, and then fill in the start date of the lease agreement.
Note: If you’re the tenant filling out this form to give to your landlord, provide a return address of the security deposit.
Step 3 – The section at the bottom (“Proof of Service”) must be completed after the recipient has been served the notice. Select the service method that was used, and then enter the date of service.
Step 4 – Sign/print your name, and then enter the date (dd/mm/yyyy).
