Michigan 7 Day Notice to Quit or Pay | Form DC 100a

The Michigan seven (7) day notice to quit or pay, reference § 554.134(2), must be served to a tenant that has failed to pay rent. The notice informs the tenant that they have seven (7) days to either pay rent or move out of the rental property. If they do not vacate/pay by the end of the seventh day, the landlord can file an eviction complaint/summons in the local district court. Use the link below to download and then print the form out. How to Write

Step 1 – Download the notice in .PDF format. Put the name of the tenant in the “To:” input field.

Step 2 – In line one (1.) enter your name, the amount of rent that is owed, and then full address of the rental property/unit.

Step 3 – Under line four (4.) enter the current date, sign your name, and then put a contact address/phone number.

Step 4 – The “Certificate of Service” section is required to be filled out after the notice has been served. Fill in the date of service, and then name of the tenant that the notice was served to. Select the service method that was used, and then sign your name in the “Signature” field.
